  Darkholm Fortress is found in the heart of Volutaria, the island ruled over by Blackstone Legion, in secret, for years. The small nations found on the chunk of land had all been corrupted by the legion, and completely dismantled. The people of the island were subject to horrific acts of exile, slaughter, and enslavement. Within months, the island was under complete control of the Legion. The island was to be a perfect stronghold of protection. From the Darkholm, came many of the most valuable advancements from the Blackstone Legion. Steam-powered ships, anti-magic conductors, and    General Garuda resides in the Darkholm Fortress, one of the most powerful warriors in the Legion. As a general, Garuda holds the second most powerful rank in the military, only surpassed by the Legion Commander, and the ten legendary warriors. Garuda uses the fortress as his base of operations, and considers himself as being a necessary opposition to the Otherkin known as Gormand Al'Dama. After their first encounter, Garuda was eager to accelerate the strength of Darkholm Fortress. He utilised one of his three underlings, Vyvilian, to become the master of recruitment for the mercenaries on Aitso. He handled the valuable recruitment drive for The S.S. Messiah , which was constructed on Volutaria. 
  Many powerful people, both allied with the Blackstone Legion, or being independent individuals, reside in Darkholm Fortress. Deformis, a former member of Malus' dragonborn fleets, had willingly joined the Blackstone Legion, as they were one of the only organisations that had not subjected him to discrimination. Professor Elara, a former member of the Coalition, relies on Elara in order to further her own plans - and so she has began to reside in the halls of the fortress. Garuda has been pining to make her an official member for the last couple months.
