Moonstone

A rare stone that is formed in Abaddon when high pressure from the likes of volcanoes press regular stone with enough pressure to combine it with the energies from the avatars that reside in the land, this forms the moonstone. The stone used by high end engineers and artificers for its properties of storing magical energies. Other names for Moonstone is Harveststone and Ionite.

The stone is clear in its natural state but depending on the light stored and the energies that were used in creating the stone.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Stores light, the light stored determines the stones colour.

Geology & Geography

There are no natural mines for the stone but it can be found in mines close to volcanoes and other high pressure places on Abaddon. The Maelstrom and Galderian Peaks is the most prevalent locations for producing the stone.

History & Usage

History

The first moonstone were found a couple of hundred years after the avatars accord had been put in place.

Everyday use

It is useless for most of the regular population on Abaddon. The higher end of society have many uses for this mineral, most commonly; batteries, storage of magical spells.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Only the rich and more influential traders, engineers and artificers trade moonstone at any significant capacity.

Industrial Use

Used by engineers in The Silver Flats as batteries for their large machines of industry as well as the artificers of Capitol for running the megacity's power grid.

Distribution

Trade & Market

Most of the harvested moonstone is bought by the big industries of The Silver Flats or Rulers of Capitol. Other smaller entities also buy and sell the product but this is a smittens of what the former two countries handle.

Storage

When a stone has been charged it needs to be stored safely as to not lose its charge over time.
