Gnome

Gnomes are a small-in-stature mortal race that reside in many parts of Aasha. According to legend, the Creator gave the Gnomes intelligence, and as such the Gnomes on average are considered the most intelligent and clever of the mortal races. Their curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery is unbounded. Many work as tinkerers or researchers for the The Mages' Guild or the Circle of Sages.   The Gnomish ancestral home is the Northlands of Aasha. However due to political and environmental turmoil, the last 100 years has seen a mass exodus from them - especially from the Gnomish capital of Gnomastra (City). These small refugees have established footholds in Aasha's largest cities and have inherited all of the benefits and drawbacks of rapid settlement in foreign lands.   The Gnomish live to be 3 to 5 centuries old which make them younger on average than Dwarves much much older than Humans
