Tenevri
The Tenevri are an ethnicity of humans originating from southern Faecrosti. Most have blonde to deep brown hair and lean-average builds. They also have rather fair skin. The original Tenevri were sailors and fishermen and often hunted and ritually drank the blood of sahuagin. Thus, many are excellent swimmers and have good endurance.

Art & Architecture
Tenevri often incorporate the sea and its creatures into their art. They also often use more wooden architecture but in the shape of real-world medieval architecture.
Coming of Age Rites
The coming of age rite for most Tenevri is simply a dunking of the teen in a deep pool of water for a short amount of time.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Going out on a boat and dropping the honored deceased, wrapped in a burial shroud, into the ocean. This method often means that Tenevri don't keep track of their ancestors beyond 2 or 3 generations.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Lean, dark hair, long hair, small eyes, small nose, large ears.
Gender Ideals
There is no distinction in Tenevri between male and female roles, only between those that can do their roles best
Courtship Ideals
The female should instigate and the male should be the one to accept. The Male, however, must present a gift within 1 month of the beginning of the relationship to show appreciation. Refusal to give the gift is considered a breakup. Marriage is similar, but reversed. To Tenevri, there is no eternal love, but long-lasting relationships are still considered beautiful. The Tenevri are homophobic in the sense that it is VERY rare among them due to their culture and it is considered rather taboo to throw nature off balance by dating the same sex.
Relationship Ideals
It is taboo to be unfaithful. Beyond the mandatory gifts, it is important to show equal appreciation for the other in the relationship. Both people should be equal within and without the relationship, hence between-class marriage is very rare and often taboo.
