Laurel Lemure
Laurel Lemures are endemic to Scorpionisland, an island south of the shores of Nandaahr in the northern part of the red sea.
They are around 50cm in length an have a green-beige fur which has enough fluff to keep them warm during moist nights but without slowing them down. On their belly they have a lot of black spots. Their eyecolor differs from brown to green, some say the females have green eyes while the males have brown ones, but nobody cared enough to really look into this. Laurel lemures have big triangle shaped ears which are extremly sensitive, which makes ithard to get near them, because they will hear you far in advance. To help them climb the slick moss-covered trees they have a long tail with brown stripes that they use as a third hand.
The Lemures live in small familly clans of ten to 15 individuals. Most lemures who are caught are babys that are picked from their dead mothers when poachers actually manage to surprise a group of them. A very barbaric practise, but nontheless, a well trained lemure is the best pickpocket you have ever witnessed. They communicate in a language of whistels and clicks - if manage to learn that you will find out they even have a personality - allthough a very troubled one - due to their childhood abruptly ending in an ambush...
