Laurel Dove

Laurel Doves are endemic to Scorpionisland, a pirate infested volcanic island south of Nandaahr. Despite that they are shy animals, once tamed they are reliable mailmen. The laurel doves live high up in the trees they are named after and eat the trees fruits and every insect that comes in front of their beaks. They have a purple head while the rest of their body sports a greenish brown mix.
A few centuries back the pirates realised their potential and started taking their eggs and hatching the chicks to deliver messages. You can think about the pirates whatever you want, but when it comes to take advantage of their islands animals they are pretty smart.
