Emperor Itham Ulanala (a.k.a. Itham, The Builder)
Emperor Itham Ulanala, also known as Itham, The Builder was the second ruler of the Empire of Great Benalor. Following the death of his father Benalon I Ulanala in 566, Itham ruled between the years of 566 and 596 before his death. Itham earned his moniker having spent much of his reign on great projects, including the completion of the Conqueror's Path and the Manse of Benalor in Aminum, constructed in 570.
Reign
In the year 570, as piracy ravaged the imperial seas and the Wilting Pox spread unchecked through the port cities of Kirshall, Emperor Itham Ulanala took the unprecedented step of leading a naval coalition alongside his typically fractious human vassals. The aim was twofold: to diminish the pirate threat destabilizing the region and to reestablish secure routes for aid and relief to reach the afflicted. This rare moment of unity between the Aelven crown and its human subjects would lay the foundational precedent for what would later become the Tourmaline Alliance.
