Conservation
As the largest zoological collection in the Yonderverse, it is down to us to make the biggest impact when it comes to rescuing animals from the brink of extinction. Our elaborate conservation schemes protects billions of endangered species.
More than just a zoo
We hire external wildlife experts to visit protected areas on millions of planets. They monitor endangered populations, figure out ways to better protect them, and increase their population.
At the zoo we have billions of acres of wilderness for endangered species to thrive without the disturbance of visitors. We monitor them with cameras, track their every move so we can ensure their safety, and ensure they are breeding without issue.
For our critically endangered species we monitor much more closely. We have to encourage breeding, pairing up animals with the highest chance of success. We generally don't like to get this involved, but some species requires it.
Taking care of our animals
Any problem with a particular animal is serious in our eyes. Animals can fall ill for any reason, even if we are doing everything right. If you notice an animal isn't looking too well, please do not hesitate to inform a zookeeper.
Conserving Ecosystems
Our external wildlife officers help manage local ecosystems on millions of planets. If you are familiar with the Mars Ecological Program, that's us! We're helping repopulate martian mudlands with several important species. We care for ecosystems, and we understand how fragile they can be. Remove one important species, and the whole thing comes crumbling down.
Become an ambassador!
Donate a certain amount of money to become a coveted Conservation Ambassador! Your name will be featured on a giant plaque to the left of the Zoo's entrance. Your support means the world to us, and the money is funnelled directly into our conservation programs. Our Conservation Ambassadors may even feature in some of our promotional material for the Zoo. Pose for photos with your favourite animal, and in no time you will become a social media star.
Education
Education is incredibly important to us. Teaching the new generations about the natural world is vital to us, and we aim to teach visitors about every single species in our possession. We host a number of free classes every day. Our wildlife officers teach our guests all about the conservation work we do, and how your support can help us.

Beautiful article, Mochi. Really important message as well, and I love it in the context of your world. <3 Alas, the failed dodo resurrection. :(

I'm so glad you enjoyed this article, I had fun trying to write something serious while also putting a humorous A to Zoo twist on things, hence the dodos xD <3
