Emperor Zou
A charismatic man who won the favor of the public and overthrew the reigning emperor of Zhenhai in what became referred to as the Uprising, or The Ascension. Zou Huang gained support over his promises to decentralize the Hantzu clergy and free up trade and religious discourse with Garal. Few areas in Zhenhai were unaffected by his coup; some cities and sects were leveled entirely, while others were supported to great power.
During his reign, Zou kept his Ministers, nobility, and the sects in a constant battle for power and acclaim, both to keep any one of them from gaining too much power and as a form of personal entertainment. He was killed by Zhang Huai Shi as part of the Gilded Retribution mission carried out by the rebellion during the final stages of the War of Eternal Day.
