Hazz the Swift

Drilball system. It has a long tradition of being a pervue of being played by the wealthy. Its appeal spread far and wide, spawning countless permutations as it was played by various classes - and races. Only very few would ever rise to the top and be able to make their passion a profession.   A young orphan Goblin girl living in the Shantytown of Malden Town men, nobody would accept that a little Goblin girl, half the size of an average player, was even capable of playing Drillball.   But capable she was. She made up for her lack of physical presence with wits and agility. Where other players used their mass to score by breaking the lines of the opposing team, Hazz outmaneuvered and outsmarted her enemies. Word quickly spread around town. At first, nobody wanted to play against her because she was a Goblin girl - no, nobody wanted to play against her not to be embarrassed.   By pure chance, some talent scouts attended a local charity game organized by the Moonbeam Foundation. At this point, she was already in a league of her own - so her journey through the higher leagues began.   She played for a series of professional teams in the lower ranks - often being the only woman on the field. But her new and exciting style caused an uproar. The small arenas usually sell out because people want to see her play. She became an attraction - and that got her attention.   Multiple teams of the premier league of Drillball started discussions to have her play. But pushback from the league organizers put an end to those plans. Human men still dominated the sport - and they would not allow to see a Goblin woman succeed. It was only with the founding of the new "Amalgam League" - a pet project by a rich entrepreneur looking for a new project - that she would finally play with professionals - from all races and backgrounds. The "Amalgam Leage" outshines the "Premier League" by a wide margin. The mix of different styles of players makes for a much more exciting game that attracts a way wider audience.   Hazz the Swift was declared Player of the Year 5 years ago. She was recently introduced to the Drillball Hall of Fame, where she was the first non-male and non-human entry. When interviewed on the day of the introduction scene, she had the following to say.  

"I always just wanted to play Drillball. It is what got me here. It is what I will continue to do." - Hazz the Swift
