Cidolfus Telamon
Once Clive's mentor, Cidolfus is now a nameless teen attempting to eke out an existence on the Twins, unaware of the powers waiting for the right moment to awaken within him. While his skill with a blade and shrewd cunning have assisted him in staying alive, whether he can manage turning a blind eye to the treatment of those around him is being heavily tested. How will his fate be changed with the alterations to the timeline, and the nations currently on Ash...?
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Cid is a wiry teen that doesn't always have enough to eat, and it shows. While he is muscular, his levels of body fat are all-but nonexistent. Despite this, he is light on his feet and agile enough to dodge around anything he can't block with his swords.
Special abilities
Cid has always been able to tell when a thunderstorm is about to occur, and is always overly energetic while the storm is happening.
Apparel & Accessories
Cid's clothes are worn, though his leathers are still in good repair. Due to his limited funds, and constantly being on the road, he often has to patch what he can for as long as he can, and make due until he can support repairs or replacements. He keeps a hooded cloak in his pack in the event of poor weather and for winters.
He has a wing necklace that was a gift from his father when he was young that he wears around his neck at all times, and a bracelet with a good luck charm that his grandmother made him before he was born that he wears around the left wrist.
Specialized Equipment
He carries two swords on his hips forged of steel blessed by a Gaian presbyter, made specifically for him by his mother. While he understands that these blades could make him quite the pretty gil if he sold them, he refuses to due to the sentimental attachment and on principle.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Born on the Outer Continent, Cid was raised by his parents as a talented swordsman and shrewd hunter. He inherited a pair of swords his mother forged for him, made of metals that his father had personally gathered, shortly before their passing in a raider attack when he was fourteen. The decision to leave the Outer Continent came shortly after, and he gained passage on one of the rare ships leaving for the Twins as a cabin boy, with intentions of making a name for himself as a sellsword and hunter.
Upon landing in the southern reaches of Storm, Cid learned quickly to hide his magical ability upon seeing first-hand how Bearers are treated on the Twins, and resolved to keep a low profile despite his need for funds. Over the last year and a half on the continent of Storm, he's learned a lot, mostly that he despises gritting his teeth and turning a blind eye when Bearers are mistreated near him. While he wants to help, he has little means to do so, and though his skills have earned him contacts, not many of them share his opinions on the treatment of Bearers. He knows there has to be someone out there, though, and so keeps searching in the hopes of making their lives better... or at least making it so others can have a choice on how they die.
Gender Identity
Cid understands that the various physical parts all play into reproduction, and that quite a few people care more about what parts you have than how you identify yourself. While this doesn't apply to him, he doesn't see why it should matter in the first place.
Sexuality
Cid is very much pansexual, finding many people attractive as his hormones start ramping up. While it may not be acceptable in much of Storm, he knows such deviancy occurs regularly enough to not particularly care about how odd his sexuality is.
Education
Cid was taught basic reading, writing, and mathematics by his mother, however he has always been of a curious nature. This has led to him learning a myriad of information and skill sets over his life, not all of them applicable to what he intends to do.
His greatest curiosity has always been in engineering and sciences, resulting in him tinkering with anything he can get his hands on and drawing out any ideas he might have when he has the materials to do so.
Employment
While he may have started his employment record as a cabin boy, he had no intention of remaining as such, and as soon as he arrived on Storm began searching for work as a sellsword and hunter. He has had some successful jobs, though never enough to have a stable income. During the winters, he has taken to working in stables or as a village guard to make do.
Morality & Philosophy
Possessed of strong morals, Cid refuses to take or ignore an action that he deems immoral or reprehensible.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
While survival is currently his main priority, Cid deems the safety and freedom of others to be of greater importance than his own.
Social
Family Ties
Cid is an only child, and both of his parents died when he was fourteen in an attack on his village.
Religious Views
Raised in the Gaian belief system, Cid is firmly of the opinion that his body shall be returned to the earth when it is time to. However, due to the prevalence of the Church of Greagor in Storm, he has taken to replacing Gaia with Greagor when he swears, and openly states that his soul shall go to Greagor.
Cid had two interactions with members of the Circle of Malius when he was younger, both before the age of ten. Neither left him with a positive impression on the religion, especially since one of the individuals was actively hostile towards anyone whom he deemed a "heretic".
Social Aptitude
Cid is naturally charismatic, carrying himself with an easy confidence and drawing others' attentions to himself, for good or ill. He can charm a miser out of their coin, flirt with anyone, and run his mouth so much he gets both into and out of trouble on a regular basis.
Wealth & Financial state
As a sellsword and hunter for hire just starting to make a name for himself, he has very little in the way of funds. Much of what he gains gets put to use immediately to ensure he has enough to eat and the occasional roof over his head. While he is attempting to save up to leave for Ash, it is slow going due to the number of jobs he needs to take in order to manage his necessities.
