Roan
Work the days away...
For people looking for a simple life, this was a simple place.
Demographics
Roan is majorly filled with halflings and thought to be the brother town of Eliva, sitting on the other side of Morigor. The people of Roan are mostly middle-class with a few lower class citizens, and almost everyone is a farmer.
Government
Like most other small settlements in Lithia, it's part of the monarchy stationed in Illwurn. The people of Roan are part of the Lithian Kingdom and are kept in line by one of the marshals. Normally, the king of Lithia would pass through once a month to observe what a week's time in Roan felt like, and he would adjust laws, taxes, and territory accordingly.
Industry & Trade
Roan, as a village of farmers normally would, trades a variety of foods to feed the kingdom. It is a staple in the agricultural history of Lithia as the Roans find more and more ways to grow even the toughest of crops. Their land sits perfectly by a river and lake from which they use to nurture the land.
Infrastructure
One of the older kings of Lithia was fond of the windmills in Stoldrain, and he made it so that the Roans would build their own. Following alongside this single windmill are multiple watermills. Power through electricity is something that not many Lithians in Roan can afford, but it has changed the lives of Dilus tremendously. The kings had promised to produce power without severely polluting the land, and that promise has been kept for centuries.
History
Roan has always been important to Lithia even before the Lithian Kingdom was established. The farmers in Roan have a knack for being able to cultivate practically any crop no matter how difficult it is. They were the ones to innovate new methods of agriculture, inspiring the people in Garvinel to grow despite the snow.
It is thought that Roan was perhaps even the first settlement in Prostesa, though nobody is quite sure. The Roans don't seem to to care whether or not the first, and they live peaceably with nature regardless of how the world views them.
Natural Resources
Roan is filled with rows upon rows of fields, and the halflings spend most of their day taking care of these crops. Much like the people of Stoldrain, they'll happily whistle songs to pass the lonely hours outside. To the north of Roan are berry fields, but they're quite difficult to forage considering the flora is full of brambles.
