Bone Queen Law

The Bone Queen Era is one of two cyclical eras separated by the Indifferent Sun every 375 years, one which focuses less on rapid evolution and adaptation, and more on symbiotic relationships and spreading survival needs throughout ecosystems. It is named after the Goddess Opis, who is known as the Bone Queen in some cultures.

How localized or global are the effects?

  • These effects are global, though sometimes influenced by other natural laws depending on the terrain and biome
  • It manifests and seems to stay in place for approximately 375 years before shifting, through the Indifferent Sun, to the Blood King Law

How does it look or manifest?

  • The Bone Queen law is a cyclical manifestation which follows (and precedes) the competitive and adaptation driven by pressure of the Bone Queen
  • Many species form symbiotic relationships, or those who initially did not, will often form them
  • Can eventually lead to evolutionary pressure when species or synthesis cannot be achieved alone and is reliant on other species who may or may not last through the Era of the Blood King

How does it affect plants and animals of your world?

  • The early evolution of the Coriniaid and Saesonaid, who relied heavily on the Vespula, Deii, and Myacoris to develop their own cultures and civilizations
  • This can lead to very quick mass extinctions and genetic bottlenecks near the end of the era, but there is often a time of peace where ecosystems are stable and easier to investigate

How does it affect the people of your world?

  • Single specialist lithomancers must increasingly rely on other elements to achieve magic activity, thus a lot of synergy can be achieved
  •  It is during this time that people are more aligned and cooperative, and innovation is at its peak
  • However, upon the changing times and cycles, this can lead to species who are reliant on specific things to decline rapidly unless they adapt
