Artificiosa

Artificiosa is a Third Class rank denoting an experienced and advanced knowledge of an art or craft. Artificiosa are certified to run their own factories or stores, no rank lower is allowed this. They are allowed to teach lower ranks at this stage basic fundamentals. Artificiosa are an intermediate rank of Mercatrix, and considered a Noble Profession L3 . This rank is often the stopping point for the average merchant or smith, particularly crafters and smiths who make non-combat tools. Higher ranks require far more money, time, and dedication because they are for executive and leadership positions.

  2. Artificiosa means "skillfully made" and is equivalent to a journeyman or intermediary rank in a crafting guild - Artificiosa are able to master specific crafts or skills in their field through extra certifications without ascending to a higher class.

  4. In civilizations, they are the earliest rank who can own a store or business with guild or economic benefits, they are also able to operate the mercantile/economic aspects of trading posts with a permanent population of less than ~1000 (if it gets larger and stable over the years, they have to get extra certifications or ascend to L2)
  5. In battle, they typically are in charge of inventory, treasury, and transport/trade of good. They are also brought into diplomatic talks due to their knowledge of economics, often assisting in hostages or treaties where goods are exchanged
  6. In rural areas, they are fairly common as their focus on practical work and trade can really help communities. They often start training centres that can teach up to L5 certifications, sporting/athletic centres, or operate their own facilities, though they have to get permits to employ other NP ranked folk if they have more than 20 employees (which usually results in them moving to the city and either getting the permit there, where it is more accessible, or moving up in rank)
