Wards for Magic
A scarsan's gauntlet is an iconic feature of their equipment. Most that fight mages need a few things in arm's reach at all times, and so many default to equiping them on their hands themselves. Often, a gauntlet has fingers tipped with copper, etraline or mythraline, so that a scarsan can grab mythral without it bleeding into their bloodstream or welding to them. For scarsan using chakram, it's common to see a rail of metal built into the palm of a guantlet, for ease of grabbing bladed edges.
Where possible, scarsan tend towards circular weapon patterns. Circular designed axe heads, heavily curved swords, thrown chakram, blades with small rings punched into them and flails are common weapons for them. Reason being that mythral and by extension magic, prefer more geometric shapes with ridged edges. Circles and spheres disrupt magic by their innate shape, the more perfect the circle, the more powerful the magical disruption. All up to a point, however, as mundane disruptions of magic are still quite limited in scope. In the right hands, however, a scarsan's weapon can falter a mage's magic just enough to get an edge.
