Sar is magic distilled into a singular point of existence. Sar is by many considered to be everything, all at once. A material that can be passed through filters to create anything, given enough time and precision. This phenomenon exists between the dimensions of Virosia and the Veil, permeating the veilish weave until it is malformed therein, and must be expelled into Virosia.
This simplification, however, does not explain sar's many intricacies. The substance is often seen to have something of a mind of its own, with both major and minute difference in identical scenarios. As a volitile entity, Sartors have struggled for a great time to pin down precisely what makes sar what it is, though more is known about the substance every day.
