A Mind Afar
To be a psythe is both curse and blessing, and forms in ways only unique. Psythes are rare individuals who have had a mythral curse seep into their mind to the point of unity between body, mind, and veil. Most that suffer such a curse die before anything beneficial can manifest, or expect not to survive before it stabilizes, resulting in either the taking of their own life, or for superstition in their surrounding people to result in the same thing. There are no more than thirty to fifty psythes to exist at any one moment according to most academics on the subject, of which there are few.
I know her. I do. Do not suggest otherwise, she is as much me as the air I breathe, and to slander her place in my life is a slight I should not soon forget! We are leaving this place. This wretched place!" - Unknown Psythe before execution
The abilities of a psythe are primarily inhibited by their mental stability through their transformation from unafflicted to afflicted. Some retain their faculties in their entirety, while others completely lose their sense of self.
A Mind in Twain
Psythe's minds are delicate things that have been spread thin over too much mental surface. They can reach for things beyond what should be their own, and access the benefits of the beyond. Most psythes have a mental space that has reached the Veil in a very literaly sense. Thus, concepts that belong to the Veil become intrinsic for psythes.
