Slinger Form

Many Slingers exist as not only common, but mandatory pieces of armor in every Hunter suit... in the Monster Hunter franchise. Storing and sacrificing this equipment gets the Contestant the Slinger P.L.O.T. form. The only other way to get it is through normal Synchronize rules. Unlike other Bracer forms, this one is fully visible to everyone.   Though there is no real difference in Slinger, from iron to betelgeuse, the armor component does make a difference. As Slingers are part of the armor, this part is simply lost for all non-aesthetic reasons upon sacrifice.   Slingers can be used as a high-power grappling hook, aiding in climbing speed, terrain coverage, or more offensively, to grapple onto a monster large enough to be climbed upon. The device is terrible at keeping the Hunter actually ON the creature.   Slingers can also be used as an exceptionally versatile ammunition thrower, strong enough to break the horns of monsters thicker than a man's waist. Various types of ammo canonically used are rocks, hard berries, and poisoned daggers.
