Blue Scanner Form

In order to unlock this Bracer Form, a scanner from Subnautica must be sacrificed. Synchronization can also be performed. This P.L.O.T. Device Form does not fully work on its own; some sort of production ability must accompany it.   The Form can be used to scan living things such as plants, animals, monsters, aliens, ghosts, and eldritch abominations. It can also scan natural materials such as ore veins and geodes. Finally, it can also be used to scan technology, whether industrial components, technologies incapable of being removed from the room they're in, devices, vehicles, base components, furniture, and anything else really. With all these scans, the device can automatically make blueprints for furniture, tools, housing utilities, base components, and techs. However, there is a danger that comes with it.   Example: If someone were to scan an old, ruined, plastic water bottle, a downed telephone pole, and a broken microwave, the Blue Scanner might create a blueprint for a functional microwave. It would use the telephone pole, which has copper wiring, and a few plastic water bottles, as the plastic can be recycled, as the required components.   The Blue Scanner absorbs pieces of broken technologies, but does not absorb creatures, creature parts, or other natural materials such as plants and ores. No materials are provided at any time for the reconstruction of these broken techs, and instead are simply used to fill the tech fragment gauge so a functional blueprint can be made. This is where the danger comes in! The Blue Scanner P.L.O.T. Device Form will create its new blueprint to suit whatever environement the Contestant is currently in, using whatever materials might be present in whatever area the Contestant is in. For example, if you scan a broken toilet, then you only get maybe 1 of 2 scans required (blueprint fragments are usually 2 or 3 to complete). That's fine, you still need a broken or complete toilet to have the blueprint. Continuing the example, if you have a broken toilet in your inventory because you don't have time to scan it before Nexus teleports you, then that's also fine, you didn't scan it yet. You find yourself in a world where everything is made of clay. If you take that broken toilet out of your inventory, and scan it now, you'll complete the blueprint- and now you can only create toilets made of modeling clay. Even if you move to a different world made of metal, you will still need modeling clay for every toilet you make. The same thing goes for using broken cars to make a car blueprint, but if you're underwater when you complete the scan, you'll only be able to make seacars.   Also, the Blue Scanner doesn't tell you where the materials are that it has in its blueprints. You might have to explore an entire planet, or hunt dangerous monsters, or refine materials from other materials in order to get what it asks for.   Primarily, the Blue Scanner helps the Contestant develop things needed for their own survival, based on their current environment. This could be food, technology, housing, or anything else. For example, you scan various prefabricated base rooms, so you can build a base. The Blue Scanner doesn't give you any furniture blueprints, not even a bed. You don't specifically need a bed to survive, so you'd have to find one. You can always scan one that isn't broken, and it would leave the bed where it is and give you the blueprint to make more as already described.   However, no matter how many blueprints the Blue Scanner has, it can't do anything without some sort of production ability. A Matter Manipulator Form, Vassal Weapon Form, Habitat Builder and a Star Trek replicator are such valid abilities. There are others, of course.
