Cloaks
Rulers of Aslandia
The Cloaks are the highest rank you can possibly be in Aslandia and no one is above them. They are chosen by the whole of Aslandia and everyone is at the same level when it comes to voting. No one gets a higher vote score or multiple votes.
The people that are selected have to be from within Aslandia and are to be representing the region they are from. E.G. someone from Lairen must support Lairen and cant decide to do what they want for another region. There are counsel meeting held once every two days. to ensure everything is organised. They decide on whether they should interfere in wars or conflicts and have to decide on the fate of the whole of Aslandia. As of such they are looked at in high regard and anyone who wishes to have power will want to be on the counsel. Due to everyone being from different regions there are often disagreements between the different members and often wars have concluded without any major help from the cloaks. This is Due to resources and different counsel members having different ideas and opinions on the matters at hand.
Requirements
You must be an adult and have a significant amount of power or an ability that has gained the respect of those around you. You need to have been picked for the role and voted by the majority of residents in Aslandia.
Appointment
There is a vote that is carried out over the course of a month. Once that time frame is over then the votes are counted. They are then taken to The Yggdrasil Gate where a large stone sits. If the sky shows no sign of change then they will not become a Cloak. However, If the skies open and a thunderstorm appears casting lightning at the rock then that person will become a Cloak. When someone is chosen to be a Cloak they are given a white sorcerers robe that has incredible properties. It's forged with magic to bind the threads and hide the armour that's plated across it, The armour is an ancient alloy that is stronger than steel but lighter than a feather, it boosts the magical spells of its wearer using the runic symbols painted within the robe.
Duties
A Cloaks duties are to Aslandia and to its people.
Responsibilities
As a Cloak, you must stand to defend Aslandia from outside threats and try to stop conflicts between countries. Cloaks cannot interfere with countries and their kings/queens unless it is absolutely necessary.

You gain respect, power, a control you never thought imaginable.
Accoutrements & Equipment
You will be needed to ware your robes at all times when out. But Cloaks can take it off once in their room. If someone were to steal the robe it will turn black and a bolt of lightning will crash down on them leaving nothing behind but the cloak.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
They can resign after 3 years however most stay as Cloaks for their lifetimes. Cloaks will also be dismissed upon their death.

Length of Term
Once you become a Cloak you must do your duty for your people. You have to have been a Cloak for a minimum of 3 years before you can resign.
