16. Tarla's Trail and Spiked Tea

General Summary

Standing outside a hut a man comes out asking if he can help us. He says most people come here for the hot springs about 100km away, and he can rent us transportation
Zeeroh mentions that we're looking for an old frined, a kalleran (Tarla), that owned this ship. Pointing to a ship
The man metions a Zabrak that owns it but isn't usually around and points southward to say where abouts they can be found
He says that the only place of interest in that direction is an old ampitheather, and that it brought a lot of visitor in until an Itachi woman died
Zeeroh says we'll take a speeder and a woman comes out and starts going over the speeders
Zeeroh takes a moment to ask if there are any guides that can take us there. The woman says most don't know the land but she could help us 50c for the speeder and 50 for her guidance
We agree on the price and hop into the speeder as she blasts us away from the town
On the way our guide tell us that the Itachi woman used to bring a lot of crowds in for her speeches but that all stopped when she died of a supposed heart attack
We come up on the deserted ampitheather and see a small tent setup beside it that looks to be in recent use
A man come out of the tent just as Janico is about to yell out and they motion to the fire as they sit down
We approach and the man apologizes for the lack of cups saying he expected less visitors as he hands us what looks like tea
The man senses our hesitation and says the tea is safe as he pulls his hood down. Showing his pale, tatooed skin with very clear eyes
Janico smells the tea and find it not to his liking so he pulls out a flask and pours some into his drink
When he take a sip it's too strong drawing the attention of the man who asks if the tea isn't to Janico's liking
Janico responds he usually prefers stronger tea but thanks him. The man turns back to Phaedrus and ask who we
He meet her 3 ears ago, running into trouble with the Empire and was imprisoned. The Kalleran rescured him from the planet of Loransayu. Her name was Tarla
Tarla told him that she would be back in 3 days but never returned so he was forced to leave without her and eventually come here
Phaedrus finally asks him for his name and the man tells us that he is called Valos Tarn
Valos accepts a tabac from Phaedrus and goes into his tent for a second, coming back out mixing the tabac with some oils and says this will help with his dry skin
We tell our guide that we're going to spend the night and she let's us know it'll be another 100 credits for her to come back for us
Valos asks us why we're searching for Tarla, and we give him a little info about how she might be able to help us fight the empire
Valos eyes suddenly widen and he asks us how she could help. We're reticent to give him a lot of information, which Valos understands
Valos looks up and says it is about time, as he turns to us saying we can stay or follow him for an interesting experience
We walk to the top of the ampitheather, and just as the sun is passing a perfect spot it strikes a ampitheather pilon and the light is split as it reflects creating a cascade of colors across the ampitheather
It last just a few moments before the light moves on and the sun sets fully
Before going to bed Zerroh messages our guide saying we'll need room for everyone to come back tomorrow. She says that'll be another 50c so 150 total tomorrow
We wake up the next morning and see that Valos has already packed up the campsite and is sitting on a rock facing the sun meditating
Phaedrus asks Valos what his next plan is, and Valos says he sees his future with us for the moment. Rescuing the person who resuced him
Zeeroh calls the guide who picks us up and takes us back to the Galva Grove
We look over Tarla's ship and decide that we'll come back for it after we get to Lola Sayu
Before we leave we give the ship a once over and discover a hidden lightsaber compartment and find a small bag hidden away

We find delicate electronic pieces along with a Jedi repair tool and a small crystan on a neckalce

Kathirra looks over the crystal and can tell that the crystal isn't a kyber crystal, but the necklace she was given from Zang
The group decides to get the neckalce back to headquarter before deciding if we can help Tarla, and flying Tarla's ship as well
We all arrive back to Corellia with no problem, and head towards the Broken Bandfill to drop of the necklace and introduce Valor to AC/Ascaris
We hand the necklace off and AC/Ascaris say that is the right one.
AC brings out the rest of the 3 trickets, when Janico tells them how it should be assembled, and Valos follows Janico's directions quickly assembling the mechanism
Once assembled there is a little slot for the crystal, and AC brings out focusing lens the slot into it
Once it's inserts the device bursts to life displaing a galactic map that eventually zooms in on a planet
After a little research we see that its the planet:
Mygeeto
Listed as a restricted planet due to the heavy Empire industrial presence there
Was settled by the Munes. Became a crown of the intergalactic banking clan due to the amount of crystal and commodities found there
The banking clan offered the planet to the Empire because of the rich deposits of Durasteel
