The Lost Keep
General Summary
45th day of the month of Springrise
After clearing the vicinity of the Hollows, the group decided to head south and do some exploring before heading back to Mithril Docks.
As the early afternoon began to wane, the group reached the coast and turned west. Keeping watch, Asrack heard the pounding of hooves heading in the direction of the Docks.
Moving west along the coast, the party found the mouth of the river that runs alongside the Hollows further to the north. From the beach, the party spied a stone keep within the thick forest.
Approaching carefully the party scouted the keep, finding the outer gate gone but the inner keep door intact. There were breaches in the walls of the keep, seemingly made by the encroaching forest but most of the structure appeared sound.
With the day was drawing to a close, the party pushed open the door to gain entry to the ruined keep. Finding themselves in a voluminous entry hall, the party decided to make camp and rest before further exploring the keep.
Early hours of the 1st day of Springwane
That decision and the fact that the exhausted Morvil fell asleep during his watch, the party was suddenly awakened by a group of armed skeletons that had emerged from somewhere within the keep.
Almost immediately, Morvil fell beneath a skeleton's broadsword, suffering a punctured lung. Old White Eyes dropped one of the skeletons with an arrow before also taking a critical blow, having his intestines spill out through the open wound. Asrack tried to rally the battle against the undead but only earned himself a near death blow as a skeleton severed his left leg at the knee.
With his new friends out of the fight, Stensune, the dwarven fighter, matched the skeletons blow for blow, almost falling himself before he dispatched the last of the undead, saving the party.
As the morning sun rises, the companions struggle to tend their wounds,
