Strauss in the House

Springwane the 8th   The party spent the majority of the day talking to the villagers and merchants of Green Rowe. A performance by the minstrels at the Ruste Onion Tavern was a rousing success with the citizens. Certainly, it caught the eye of Strauss, the leader of the local Rust Brother faction. As the night wound down, the party received an invitation to visit Strauss at his compound just outside the village proper.   Springwane the 9th   Within his office, Strauss struck an agreement with the party. He needed an important scroll delivered to a fellow Rust Brother, Stukas, in the Hollows. Promise of payment upon delivery and the promise of goodwill with the Rust Brothers enticed the party to accept the task. When asked why he can't send his own men to deliver the message, Strauss off handedly mentions that his forces are needed to clean the forest of an infestation of elves. He also admits with more than a hint of satisfaction that he and his men were responsible for the killing of the orc Blue Duck employees.   Leaving the Rust compound, the party narrowly avoided an altercation with several Rust Brothers and returned to the Ruste Onion for a good night's sleep.   Springwane the 10th   The party rose and began the trek back down the coast, heading towards the Hollows.
