Curious Effects
This strange, rapidly growing, grassy plant produces mold-like dust; several small, floating spores that are easy to inhale. These spores can have an affect on your vocal cords in a variety of ways.
The youngest form of the plant, when inhaled, causes your voice to become higher in pitch. This happens because the spores of this variety, when inhaled, attach themselves to your larynx and cause it to contract. This gives your voice a higher tone.
The more Ceolwerac ages, the deeper the spores will cause your voice to sound. The older spores, when inhaled, cling to your larynx and irritate it, causing it to inflame and expand. This gives your voice a lower-pitched tone.
Other variants cling to the adenoids of the nose causing you to have a nasally voice.
There are multiple varieties of this plant, but each and every one of those types dispenses mold-like spores. The miniature particles cling to your nasal passage and throat, most times easily cleared away by a violent cough or a blowing of the nose.
Inhaling too many of the spores, however, can lead to other problems such as trouble breathing or even asphyxiation. Even so, people continue to utilize a small amount of these spores when attempting to change the sound of their voice.
Certain people may be more sensitive to the spores than others. This may mean that a simple cough would not be enough to clear them away. Sometimes, one may require a drink or a gargling of water. Others are alleviated of the seedlings by breathing in warm steam that helps to lift the spores and carry them away out of the nasal passage.
Scientific Name
Ceol Waercia
Lifespan
These plants can thrive for millennia in suitable conditions, and thrive wherever dry. Even when submerged in water, the seed epores become grainy particles that retain shape until proper conditions are found.
Average Height
The Ceolwerac can grow then, fuzzy tendrils anywhere from one to five inches sprouting upwards, but, when it comes to distance, it can cover vast areas, carrying on for miles if the conditions are right.
Average Weight
Ceolwerac is a very lightweight plant-- lighter than a feather. it is hard to measure, for it weighs close to nothing. The seeds are like dust, and the tendrils are wispy and fragile.
Average Length
The Ceolwerac can sprout to cover any area; from the size of your palm to several square miles as long as the conditions are dry enough.
Gardening
Such a plant is extremely hard to grow in outdoor gardens, but, it is possible to allow the Ceolwerac to flourish indoors. Even still, controlled breeding and harvesting of the Ceolwerac is a complex process. One must ensure the plant shelter from the rain, while still allowing it to retain heat from the sun. In addition, the enclosed area must not at all be too humid. The moisture droplets in the air will quickly quench out the tendrils. Growing Ceolwerac in cold climates does not usually work, either. The chill of the air will stunt the growth of the plant, freezing all the tiny water droplets within each tendril and root. The only known successful farming of Ceolwerac is orchestrated by the elusive inhabitants of
Grotig Pyrre.
Value
Though very common all over the deserts of
Cloddendale, merchants collect the Ceolwerac's seed powder and, traveling all around
Wynsumheord, sell the dust for a considerable amount. Many do agree to pay this fee due to the fact that the compound has been sourced from a rare land. This curious plant matter is a popular item in the marketplace for esoteric and novelty purposes alike.
That's an interesting plant! I love the idea of the spores being used to change the voice! Here are a few notes I took while reading the article: You have "Ceol" just written before the Growth section. Was the rest of the sentence cut? "Ceolwerac is not likely to begin taking root within the human body." Not likely doesn't mean never. Has It ever happened? XD Oh I just read the sidebar. This is a cool idea! Though I still wouldn't want any of those spores near me XD You say that the spore are very resilient. So even if you drink water to prevent the spores from sprouting, they would still stay dormant in your throat, right? Unless you manage to cough them away. What are the effects of abusing the spores to change your voice? I have a few suggestions for the presentation: 1) I would start the side bar with the name etc and only add the "voice changing" bits afterwards. I would also add a title like "voice changing" or "spore inhalation". 2) I would add a space before the end of a paragraph and your blue titles. 3) Dividing big paragraphs into smaller ones also help with the reading (for the dietary needs for example). Try to start a new paragraph ever time you talk about a new idea. I love the excerpt from the botanical guide XD
And I forgot to say that I like the drawing you've made of the grass. And here when I posted my comment and the page refreshed itself you already have a second one! XD Both of them really help with the visualisation.
lol thanks for all your comments and suggestions. I wasn't quite done with the article yet lol. I think you were reading it as I was editing! XD Nevertheless, I appreciate you checking it out. Hopefully you will like it a bit more when I'm actually finished lol. I just made it public so that I could enter it into the contest before I forgot lol that has happened before where I fell asleep and woke up a few minutes after the deadline of a contest and was very angry at myself. At least this way, even if the article isn't quite done, I will still have something in lol.

No problem :D I submitted mine weeks ago but it also took me few days after I made it public to realise that I had not submitted it for the challenge... I'll have to come back later to check your final version!
by the way, I was also working on my CSS with the spacing because I was not satisfied with it. It looked a little wonky and I did not like how the titles were being presented. I am adding extra padding and spacing. I was most likely in the middle of doing so as you were reading.

I've just reread the article and I love the additions you've done :) This does clarify the questions I had. And you have a lovely presentations with all of your drawings and quotes - great job with making the main text and the sidebar ends in the same place XD
Thanks! I had a vision and was trying to accomplish it lol. thanks for your patience and sorry that you read it when I wasn't done. My fault for publishing it lol, Guess it's my habit. I was traumatized by that writing contest I missed lol. Nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoyed! And, I'm so happy you noticed my effort to make the sidebar and the main text end at the same spot! XD

Don't apologise, it's also my fault for reading the articles before the deadline, I know lots of people are still polishing them. But the prospect of reading the nearly 200 articles in one week is rather terrifying! XD
I understand! I applaud your effort and thank you once again! I am so busy, I'd do well to enter my own article, let alone read one or two others XD only when solicited or I see an interesting thumbnail. Even then, I hardly get around to it! <3 much love to you.
