had some text strings that were too long. got it now
If you include a URL or Autolink in the Description, they seem to break when embedding a table with Show Description enabled. Is this an intended limitation or a bug?
This could be a bug—can you report it here: https://github.com/worldanvil/worldanvil-bug-tracker/issues. Make sure to be a bit more specific (e.g. "Links aren't properly displayed" rather than "it breaks") so that the devs can properly reproduce the issue. Happy new year!
Is there a way to embed multiple links in a single cell? I'd like to have links to multiple character abilities in a cell and at a glance it looks like a cell can only support one at a time. Either external links or article links would be fine.
Url-type cells can only hold one link, you're right. I don't have a workaround for this, other than using BBCode tables, but you can suggest this as a feature here: https://www.worldanvil.com/community/voting/. Let me know if you need help with BBCode tables if you decide to go this route!
I can't embed a table in a statblock, otherwise, it returns a 404 error. Is it just me?
Hi! Does the same happen if you embed it in an article? And how are you embedding it?
Hello! It works perfectly fine in an article and I embed it by pasting the itable tag into a bbcode field. I've tried and failed to do so in the following: Character sheet (d&d 2020; "Notes" field and "new section" field; result: 404) Notebook (result: doesn't appear) Character Scrapbook (result: doesn't appear in neither the scrapbook nor under "about") Text statblock (result: 404)
Ok, this could be a bug. Could you report it here? https://www.worldanvil.com/udan-tracker/
I've been having that same problem too whenever I try and embed it into a class statblock for dnd 5e
Hi! I'm afraid tables are currently not compatibles with statblocks.
My tables aren't showing up on my storyteller screen when I try to add them to library blocks? I've tried embedding them as part of articles and they don't show up there either, is this a known issue?
Hi! The Storyteller Screen uses the simple preview system to display articles, which skips embedded content like interactive content or maps. You can request this as a feature in the features voting board.
thanks for the reply. Is there any way for me to add my interactive tables to the storyteller screen library then? They don't come up when I search from them via the search bar.
No, there isn't. If you're using them as random generators/rolltables, we have rolltable statblocks. Just create a new "Generic, Random Table" and use the pipe character | to separate cells in the same row!
Is there a way to get text to wrap on the table? I don't want the table to be ridiculously long due to it not wrapping, but if it doesn't have a text wrap option i can figure out a workaround on my own.
Hi! When editing the table you can drag column borders to make them narrower. Place your mouse pointer in the border between two header rows until it's highlighted, then drag it left or right to make it narrower or wider. This way you can make columns narrow enough to avoid horizontal scrolling. The text will still not wrap, but when clicking the cell a pop-up will appear with the full text (and it will wrap there). Let me know if this helps!
it kind of help, but being able to wrap long texts would be very useful ^^"
As a Guild member, you can suggest new features to the dev team. Do so from this page: https://www.worldanvil.com/community/voting/. It's the best way to make sure that the devs know what would be useful to you!

Is there a way to embed a prefiltered table into an article? For example, I have an interactive table of player races and their stats, including dwarfs, and I want to embed the table already filtered for 'dwarfs' in an article. Is this possible?
Hi! Table can only be embedded in tis full form. The only options you can tweak are the ones that appear under "Advanced Settings", which apply to all instances of the table. Hope this helps!
