Is there any way for me to create the PC's? I am using World Anvil in a way to keep track of things most of my players don't want to start an account they are happy using character sheets and I don't want to force them but I don't want to make them as NPC's either.
Hi! You can definitely create PCs. Just create a new character and then join the campaign link with the character active. You can then transfer these characters to your players' accounts. Keep in mind, though, that you can only have a single character active at a time. This means that you can't keep track of everything simultaneously. The PC system is designed to work for players. Hope this helps!
Ondo, you cool bean, I've got a question! How does one view their Session Notes from the game in order to fill the Session Report?
Hi! What do you mean with Session Notes? If you're talking about the Notes section in the DSTS, that's your regular Notebook, so you can access it from the left sidebar.
That may be it! I'll investigate that this is ehat the original asker was looming for and report back
I have a map within an article which works perfectly fine when accessing it through the articles section of my world but when I then hand out the article via the dsts the map doesn't display when I view the handout screen, just the text? I haven't tested it through a live session yet could this be the reason why or is it a bug?
I cant find where to create an adventure in my campaign. I dont see the campaign tab other than to make a new campaign. i just want to make a specific adventure
If you mean you want to write an adventure, you can do that with your regular worldbuilding tools (I'd probably use the Plot article template). If you want to run an adventure, you can treat it as a campaign on World Anvil.
wow this is so cool :) but question: how do you get to the session notes? am i just blind or
If you mean the session report, you'll find them linked from each session in the "Sessions" tab of the campaign manager!
Is there a way for Game Masters to edit player character profiles and sheets? I'm having a tough time convincing my players to enter info into this platform, but I'd like to use it to keep track.
Absolutely! After inviting your players to the campaign, go to the "Protagonists (PCs)" tab of the campaign manager. There you'll see all the player characters with an "edit sheet" button.
I see! Do your players have created sheets? It might cause an error if they aren't created yet.
I have the same 404 error. All the character are created . any ideas?
Hi Glodarin. Can you confirm that the character sheets are created and they are set as public/viewable by you?
How do you get the D&D module
You can choose "Dungeons and Dragons 5e" as your RPG system in the world settings. After saving, you'll see a "Statblock" tab in the world Dashboard for D&D statblocks!
Can you add (or change) an RPG system to a world you've already started creating?
Yes! Go to the world configuration page by clicking the gear icon at the bottom of the sidebar. You'll find a field to add or change RPG systems there.
I'm a new subscriber, and I'm getting the hang of how to get everything set up to keep my new world organized. I am under the impression that the "Manage Your Campaign" section above is more geared towards online TTRPG sessions. I play in person with my players, so the appeal to me was to be able to keep everything organized as I try to run an open world style D&D game. Is there a "workflow" for lack of a better term to have what I create accessible to my players in person? Like is there a way they can view the info in real time just like a wiki for my campaign? As mentioned, I'm fairly new, so I'm still learning the ins and outs of how everything can be set up, so any ideas for feedback would be excellent. Thanks!
Hey, welcome to the Guild! You're right that this workflow isn't geared towards groups that use printed character sheets, although it's still compatible with in-person games that use digital character sheets. In any case, if you just want to use World Anvil as a wiki, you can skip the campaign manager. If you send them your world's view link, they'll be able to read all articles that are public and published. If you want to set content as private to some and public to others, you can use subscriber groups. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have more questions!

"If you don't want your players to see anything at all, you can just set the whole world private from world settings. You will still be able to go to individual articles and set them as "open", so that anyone can see them if they have a direct link." This does no longer work. A public article in a private worls is nto accessible: "I am so sorry but you don't have access to this page. This is most probably because the article is private and you don't have the necessary rights to view it."
Good catch! There was a change in how this works. I'll edit that now. Thanks!
