Celestial pylons

The continent of Ûnduleah is home to 10 celestial pylons (also known as celestial shards or crystal cores). Strong magical remnants of the The Silver Rain. Each celestial pylon is embedded in the earth and is a source of magical power, emanating and transforming the landscape around it.   Pylons sorted by region:  

Unem

 

The orange heat pylon

  • Located in the Laraki Mountains. The capital city of Keadin is built around this pylon.
  • After the sun, the biggest source of ambient heat on Ûnduleah. Each day, it sends out a magical warm pulse that rolls across the continent.
  • Heats or cools things.
 

The red force pylon

  • Located on the dry Azor steppe, on the northern plains of Unem.
  • It is surrounded by a forcefield that pushes away all living things.
  • Has a push/pull function: forcefield/gravity well.
 

Dûnn

 

The blue pylon of calming

  • Located in the southern mountain plateau of the Kiridûn mountains, at the border of Unem, Naash, and Dûnn meet.
  • It has relaxing and calming properties. It is part of the reason why the Dînn dwarves are so good at taming beasts.
  • It can calm or enrage.
   

Ilinor

 

The purple enhancing pylon

  • Located on the western side of the Deoki Kirei, it landed inside Lark Deoki (the purple lake).
  • It has a mind sharpening effect on all creatures that come near it. Making them more sensitive to sound, touch (pain), sight, smell etc.
  • Dull/enhance senses.
 

The olive growth pylon

  • Located on the western side of the Deoki Kirei, near the Vaio Source Tree
  • It makes plants grow very fast and strong, but with a high chance of mutations. Has minor healing properties.
  • It multiplies/kills cells.
 

Naash

 

The grey pylon of understanding

  • Located at the bottom of the great bay, just north-west of the three view mountains
  • **subject to change:** It has meditative, educative and creative effects, by making people understand their surroundings better. It allows one to see connections. .. ..
  • It opens/closes one's mind
 

Aachor

 

The white dormant pylon

  • Located in the North-east of Aachor, between the Bari crater and the Ba'ar settlement.
  • It created a large white stone crater around it. It acts as an inert material, not reacting to anything else, including magic. The source of most magic-blocking materials.
  • It can block or enhance magic.
 

The black armour pylon

  • Located inside The Inkwood, in the centre of Aachor
  • It transforms all matter that touches it for too long. The source of most magical armours.
  • It can harden/soften.
 

The turqoise spirit pylon

  • Located in the south-west of Aachor, in the hills of Muil Riish (the red hills)
  • It is the source of many ghosts and spirits that have been encountered in the red hills.
  • It can open or close one's connection with the afterlife.
 

The yellow pylon of teleportation

  • Located in the south-east of Aachor, on one of the rainforest Islands of the Reemu Kádi.
  • It has powers of transportation. When using special signs/runes/materials, one can teleport to this place.
  • It can teleport to or from.

The White crystal pylon by AI
  The image above is a representation of the white pylon.   During the The Silver Rain, comets rained down from the twin planet Ceos onto the lands of Ûnduleah. Most comets were just fragments of rock or minerals, but some were magical crystals. These house-sized crystals lodged themselves scattered across Ûnduleah, creating the 10 known Celestial Pylons.
