House Vivisslith
Crystal is their creed, cut, carved, powdered, or set ablaze with spellwork, each shard a vessel of power and prestige. They turn raw stone into splendour, sorcery into spectacle, and spectacle into dominion. Yet beneath every jewel lies fracture, an obsession, the promise that what was taken will one day be seized back. No matter the cost.
WWhen one thinks of the wealthy and powerful Dral'azie elite of Rie'shae, the Vivisslith rise first to mind. As with the Gani’orell and the Versorinn, when the Vivisslith move, all eyes turn to watch. Yet unlike those venerable houses, their lineage was not born from the ancient and storied bloodlines of their Dark Aelifer forebearers. Miners turned to magnates, their ancestors relied on their cunning, ambition, and ruthless grasp of opportunity to elevate their name. Establishing a dynasty of jewelwrights, artificers, and enchanters whose creations became the envy of every court. Though their crystal mines lie in ruin, House Vivisslith remains one of the most powerful and influential families in Rie'shae, their coffers, though diminished, still eclipse those of every other noble house, their name continues to command respect. Much of that power rests not only upon their riches but upon the legacy of crystal itself. For generations, the Vivisslith monopolised the flow of mana-veined stone, stockpiling vaults of it in Rie’shae even after their mines were lost to the Shimmering Emperor’s wrath. From those reserves came weapons, circlets, and ornaments of subtle enchantment that defined the city’s highest fashion, their mark of craft woven into the very fabric of courtly life. Even crystal dust, ground from lesser shards, became its own empire, a narcotic trade that left scholars and battlemages alike unable to part from its glittering lure.
This easy abundance bred a certain ambivalence toward the house. The Vivisslith are admired as patrons of artistry, their scions renowned for elemental sorcery and the elegance of their creations. Yet in whispered corners, they are derided as soft: too dependent upon trinkets and dust, their heirs gilded but fragile. For every prodigious mage who bends fire or storm with terrifying grace, there is another who hides trembling hands behind jewelled foci or burns away their brilliance in clouds of powdered crystal. It is this tension, the sheen of splendour masking veins of decay, that makes the Vivisslith so carefully watched, envied, and feared.
Politically, the Vivisslith entwine themselves in a lattice of obligations and pacts, binding their fortunes to houses both near and far. Their ties to Dragh'Zeruel and the imperial court endure, a remnant of older accords that still lend their name weight beyond Rie’shae’s walls. What they have lost in substance, they have learned to preserve through spectacle, wielding perception as deftly as any blade. To rivals and allies alike, they remain the house of crystal and sorcery, glittering, untouchable, and dangerous to underestimate. Beneath that brilliance, however, lies an obsession to reclaim all that was stolen, to see the Shimmering Emperor slain, and to retake their birthright.

History of House Vivisslith
The Vivisslith origins began in the early days during the foundation of Rie'shae, minor nobility within the fledgling city, long before the Ganio'rell detached themselves from Rie'shaes social circles and the Versorinn became the silent puppeteers steering the course of fate. Due to a number of successful prospecting expeditions across the caverns of Ameranth during the early years of the isolation age, the budding house Vivisslith quickly seized the opportunity to establish one of the most prosperous crystal mines throughout the entire Ameranth region.
