Electrostatic Jet
Type of airbreathing reaction engine which uses magnetohydrodynamic propulsion to create a jet of air. Since they have no moving parts and only need electricity as fuel, they are ubiquitous in lightweight atmospheric craft.
Larger vehicles such as spaceplanes require fusion-thermal or atomic engines.
