Tactacmolec

Tactacmolec, also known as the Red-Masked Man, was a leader in the Savage Hunters of the Outlands during the Arztillan Panarchy. Working for the Keeper Norla, he opposed the Meridian Expedition's efforts to stop Caesar Dulane until his defeat and death in the Battle Above Grand Arztilla.

Traits
A ruthless and brutal man, Tactacmolec wore a leather outfit with a long-nosed red mask and necklace of shrunken heads when riding atop his gryphon, and carried a disk-launcher weapon presumably salvaged from a Keeper ruin or given to him by Norla.History
Along with the rest of the Savage Hunters, he fought on the side of Caesar Dulane's Panarchy and sought to stop the Meridian Expedition in its goal of deposing him. He failed in this aim when he died in battle over Grand Arztilla. The second White-Masked Man suceeded him as leader of the Savage Hunters and declared a truce with the expedition, not wishing the blood of any more of his comrades to be spilled fighting for foreign rulers such as Dulane./*

He returned again to attack the expedition when they fled Grand Arztilla after escaping death in the Bellodrome, nearly succeeding at killing them until Captain Prex and his sky pirates intervened. They pursued aboard the Arztillan volor Glory of Caesar, but were forced to turn back after being lured into heavy turbulence which damaged their craft.
The final clash between the Meridian Expedition and Savage Hunters occurred over Grand Arztilla, when they assisted General Fuhran and his flagship Victory of Caesar in battle against Prex's Rogue's Galley. Tactacmolec set upon Eric and his gryphon Ediharitlan, using his superior skills as an aviator to run him out of altitude so he could finish him off. Eric, in a desperate move, turned back and the two gryphons collided in a brutal melee, during which he was able to cut Tactacmolec's harness and send him plummeting from his steed towards the Arztillan harbor. Zandra attempted to rescue him, but he chose death instead and slashed at her hand with a dagger before dying on impact.
After this, the second White-Masked Man assumed leadership of the Hunters and declared a truce between them and the expedition, not wishing that any more of their blood be spilled to fight a war on foreign soil.*/
