SC24 Homework

I hereby pledge to finish 42 articles again during Summer Camp 2024!

  I am working on a lot of stories right now. Several are in Reki, but also in two currently private worlds. Nesta & Kin. I will be writing in Reki for this Summer Camp. It's my favorite world currently. :3 But if I manage to finish Kin or Nesta's introduction articles and put them public I will also be writing a couple of articles in those worlds. XD   This year, I hope to be able to write about food in Reki. I would also like to include other things that are related to the Visual Novel I will be starting to code in two weeks (when my vacation starts). Which is dating spots, characters and stores. We'll see what happens. XD;   When it comes to Kin & Nesta I want to write about species, the locations and...food.

Homework 1 -Change

Assignment 1

Consider what kind of changes would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.

This year's first theme is change. How I will work on this kind of depends on the prompts. I hope that I will be able to write about the changes in food culture on The Station as well as on other planet. Maybe also changes in stores and other building locations or other things. We will have to see.
   

Assignment 2

Based on this, decide how many prompts you'll go for during Summer Camp. Then, download the pledge document and fill it accordingly!

The last couple of years I have always managed to finish 42 articles. So that's what I am going to go for again. These 42 articles are usually in two worlds. This time I will do 42 articles in Reki (there will be more articles than 42 if I manage to get Kin ready in time for Summer Camp) because I want Reki to beat my currently biggest world, Idyll, by the end of this year. XD; ...I currently have 149 articles published in Reki and like 290-something articles published in Idyll....so....
  The pledge is up on top.    

Assignment 3

Get your categories and tags organized!

My categories are thought out and pretty much set in stone before my worlds become public...so. No changes there. The only difference is adding this year's tag to the tag soup. #SC24.
   

Assignment 4

Take a look at your meta, primer, and any other high-level document and update it according to the current state of your world.

My meta is private....so. I can't show it off. (too much secret information. Have a look at my Iceberg.) The public information of the meta is on the "must read" introduction article that I have. Those will not change either. My meta may grow and new inspirations might be added....but those don't change my fundamental meta....so....not much to update there either. XD;;

Homework 2 -Refuge

Assignment 1

Consider what kinds of refuge would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.

Refuge...ooh. Well. That's... The Dragons are refugees and The Station is their haven. So... it depends a lot on the prompts, what I will do with this. But it fits really well. I hope I will get to write a little bit more about the history of The Station with the prompt. How it went for them to import food and what food they had in the beginning.
   

Assignment 2

Find a community—whether that’s our Discord server, Facebook Group, your RPG or friend group, or something else.

I have my sibling. Myself and a private discord server I am a member of where I will post about my progress. I also post to the large WA discord. I don't really have a problem keeping myself accountable if it's something that I really want to do. Worldbuilding is something I very rarely lose interest in.
   

Assignment 3

Find ways to improve styling and layout in your world!

Reki has had this finished for a long time. I am still poking around in Kin and Nesta....I don't think I will be finished with them in time for Summer Camp right now since I will also be joining Art Fight during July which I have to prepare for this month as well.
   

Assignment 4

If you’re a CSS wizard, maybe take the time now to give it a polish!

Like the previous assignment this is already finished for Reki and I don't think I will change anything. At least not before or during Summer Camp. XD;

Homework 3 -Belief

Assignment 1

Consider what kind of beliefs would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.

Hm. Well. I wanted to write about food so this will probably be beliefs about food, urban myths and stuff about specific dishes and how to cook. Specifically on The Station but probably also on the other planets depending on the prompts.    

Assignment 2

Create a bank of inspirations! Quotes, music, description of experiences and shower thoughts, etc.

Find art and pictures that inspire you, and grab a map if you don't have one (and need one).

Well....you asked for it. XD .....I hope you're not hungry. (The food images is because this SC is mostly about food, the random other photos and the photos from Seoul Airport is because are an inspiration to this world over all)

Assignment 4

Check your inspirations again. Are they still relevant? Can you find any that better represent the current state of your project?

I did remove one video from the bank since the feeling of that one was kinda already shown in a couple of the other ones. I have a lot of photos from my travels and those inspire me for Reki....I'm not sharing all of them. But I share some of them...especially the food related ones. XD;

Homework 4 -Decay

Assignment 1

Consider what kind of changes would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.

Well, there are ways that food are preserved. Might also talk about how the elderly are taken care off on The Station. Or a lot of conditions. It all the depends on the prompts. But it's going to be interesting.  

Assignment 2

If you like special tea when you write, stock up for a month. Tidy your office, make a “do not disturb” sign, and think about any other last-minute strategies to optimize your writing space and time!

I always have coca cola at home. I have cleaned up around the computer and prepared a worldbuilding folder in the notes app on my phone that I can write notes in when I'm back at work.  

Assignment 3

Review your world homepage to hook potential readers!

There's stuff I want to do about the homepage but I can't right now. There's a page and some art that should go there but the page won't be up until some more articles have been written and I haven't decided on the art yet...so....it will have to stay as it looks now.  

Assignment 4

Take a look at your author profile and pillar articles on your world and polish them!

I have taken a look at my meta articles and they look fine for now.
