The Western Cove & and The Spirit of Yvari

Written by: Western Keeper Nohi
There is a small cove at the base of the mountains of the Western Air Temple, bursting with the colors of life and nature. Filled with fish, turtles, dolphins, and a wonderful array of ocean flora, it is beautiful and mostly untouched by humankind. Wanderers and storytellers speak of the ancient Yvari, a spirit with the torso of an elegant woman, and the tail of a koi fish with a myriad of rainbow scales that would shimmer as she swam.

Yvari was incredibly tall and broad, embodying the strength and vitality of natural life, and made this cove her home, embuing the surrounding area with her strength and that of the spirits with the more time she spent there.

It is often believed that Yvari only kept one human companion, a young girl who would often escape the caves of the Western Temple to visit the spirit and the fish and spend time playing amongst the sand with the sun radiant on her skin. Yvari was peaceful and often kept to herself, but the giggles of this child gave her great joy.
