Charges
This item has 12 charges and regains 1d10+2 charges each day at dawn. These charges may be used for various purposes, listed below.
Expanding The Meta-Mind
You gain access to two Metamagic options of your choice, and may change this choice whenever you take a long rest. In addition, you may expend the charges of this item to utilise your metamagics as if they were Sorcery Points. If you have existing Sorcery Points from a class or feature, you may choose to combine these pools, expending any combination of charges and Sorcery Points when applying metamagics to yourself or others.
Upgrade - doubles the power of the only feature granted by the Meta Medallion, and combines the separate pools from the Sash
Sorcerous Synergy
When an ally you can see within 90ft casts a non-epic spell, you can use your reaction to expend Charges, Sorcery Points, or both in order to twist their spell with one of your known metamagic options. The number of charges and/or points expended is the same as if you were applying them to your own spells. If this would cause the spell to target a second creature, you choose the new target.
Upgrade - up the range, can also spend sorcery points since it's a combined pool now
Sorcerous Sabotage
When an enemy you can see within 90ft casts a non-epic spell, you may attempt to twist their spell with one of your known metamagic options as if using the Sorcerous Synergy property. You must make an opposed Arcana check, with both sides using their spellcasting modifier in place of Intelligence if it is different. Your enemy gains a bonus to their roll equal to half the level of the spell they cast (rounded down).
New ability - basically lets you sabotage an enemy with a Twinned Spell or Careful Spell
Siphon Excess
When a spell is cast within 90ft of you, you sense if it has been upcast using a higher level spell slot. When this occurs, you may use your reaction to attempt to steal the extra power from the spell. You must make an opposed Arcana check, with both sides using their spellcasting modifier in place of Intelligence if it is different. Your enemy gains a bonus to their roll equal to half the level of the spell they cast (rounded down).
On a success, you reduce the spell being cast back down to its original level, and regain a number of Charges equal to the difference removed (e.g. a 7th level fireball goes back down to 3rd level, and you regain 4 charges).
New ability - can weaken enemy spells or trade ally spell slots for charges
Redirect Energy
Whenever you would expend or regain Charges using the reactions granted by Sorcerous Synergy, Sorcerous Sabotage, or Siphon Excess, you may immediately cast a spell using the same reaction. The spell may not be of a higher level than the number of charges expended/gained, must have a casting time of 1 reaction, action, or bonus action, and still expends one of your spell slots.
New ability - basically grants Kaus his "reaction for synergy but also cast Shield" that he's been asking for
True Twinning
You may select one metamagic you know at the end of a long rest, enhancing its ability to mix with others. While so enhanced, you may use it in combination with any other metamagics you know on spells you cast, or spells modified by Sorcerous Synergy or Sorcerous Sabotage. When using metamagics in combination, you must expend the Charge and/or Sorcery Point cost of each option individually.
New ability - Combining two metamagic items, feels right to give you the option to combine two metamagic features as well.
Mutable Manifestations
As an action, you may expend charges from this cloak in order to transform creatures you have summoned with your spells. You may transform them, as if by the True Polymorph spell, with the following differences:
- The transformation lasts an hour without requiring concentration, and cannot be made permanent.
- The creature type may not be altered, e.g. an elemental must be transformed into a different kind of elemental
- The maximum CR you may polymorph them into is equal to the number of charges expended.
New ability - transform Korudo or other summons!
Unlimited Power
As an action, you may bring all of the magic around you, combining the natural power in the world with that of the cloak. For 1 minute, any time you would expend charges or Sorcery Points, you expend 1 fewer (minimum of 0). Whenever you would regain charges or Sorcery Points, you gain 1 extra.
You may use this property once per day, and regain the ability to do so again at dawn.
Minor Artifact
Though it was neither crafted nor blessed by the Gods, this item is nevertheless an artifact of power. It has 2 Random Minor Beneficial properties, and 1 Minor Detrimental Property.
