Description
According to mythology Ambrosia is the foodstuff of the Gods, though whether they truly require or simply desire it is the subject of many debates.
It is a glowing golden liquid, like a celestial honey, prepared from solid gold fruit grown from heavenly trees - those who drink it experience euphoria unlike any other, and feel themselves as content as one could possibly imagine. Even after the effects wear off, the memory remains as a pleasant warmth for the rest of one's life.
Mechanics
Truest Nourishment
Any being who consumes Ambrosia instantly regains all of their hit points, regenerates lost limbs, recovers from all non-epic conditions, and no longer needs to eat, sleep, or breathe for 1 month. In addition, a mortal's age is reduced by 1d12+12 years, to a minimum of their choosing, or 13 years old (whichever is older).
Surge of Power
A mortal with fewer than 20 levels that consumes Ambrosia immediately gains a level up. A mortal with 20 or more levels gains an Epic Boon or Feat (their choice) instead. A creature may only benefit from this feature of Ambrosia once, regardless of how much they later consume.
Temporary Divinity
A mortal who consumes Ambrosia also gains the following effects for 24 hours:
- You emit a soft, warm glow which sheds 10ft of dim light around you
- You are always under the effects of Detect Good and Evil
- Your weapon attacks and damaging spells deal an additional 1d10 radiant damage
- You gain a +3 bonus to all saving throws
- You gain advantage on all Charisma checks you make
- You have resistance to radiant damage
- You gain a flying speed of 40ft. While you fly, you gain a pair of glowing wings
- You become immune to the Charmed and Frightened conditions
