The Singing Desert and its Mysteries

The Singing Desert extends its branches out from the flank of Adraya, stretching into the Southman's Sea, an equally mysterious region. The desert, witnessed by very few of the Great Houses and their denizens, is home to a civilization far older than that of the Atrean houses. Those who have been say it is called Rhases, while others simply call it the "Southern Kingdom." Whatever it may be called, the existence of these ancient people cannot be doubted, as the odd ship which ventured far enough east will come back laden with strange materials and jewelry, and on even rarer occasions, a man or woman of the Singing Desert will arrive at a Drean port or even to Elderhill. No substantial efforts on either end have been made to establish any real connection between the people of the desert and the houses, however, and so like the few other known foreign peoples, little can be said about the men and women of Rhases.
