The War of Dunnywild Aggression
The name within the Rivals Monarchy for the civil war between Dunnywild and themselves, spurred by the Serpents Culling.
The civil war is framed, within Rivals Monarchy, as a succession of aggression from Dunnywild. Although, history shows this is not the case. Dunnywild took a strong anti culling stance and warned the Monarchy of their intent to succeed if the culling continued. Upon the continued genocide of the Serpentkin, Dunnywild formally succeeded and posted regiments on the Isthmus known as The Dunnywild Gate. This was the even that spurred the Monarchy to respond with aggression and send regiments to remove the Dunnywild presence, thus sparking the Civil War.
The Monarchy frames the story from a completely different lens. They allege that the succession of Dunnywild was unprovoked and was simply them taking advantage of the Monarchies weakness during a time of turmoil. The skirmish at the Dunnywild Gate that started the war is also taught differently, claiming that Dunnywild attacked an already standing Monarchy regiment, in an effort to push into the Monarchy proper.
Fortunately, it is only within the Monarchies borders that this version of events is believed, as the rest of the world knows and is taught the truth of the matter.
