The Blood Moon
Every few millennia, Aeveros' moon turns a deep red color, seemingly dripping in blood. The dead rise from their graves to wreck havoc and portals to other worlds open. Many cultures have necromantic rituals that utilize the Blood Moon's power.

Manifestation
Unlike a typicaly Earthen blood moon, the moon of Aeveros physically turns red. This results in the whole world experiencing a blood moon over 32 hours. It only happens during a full moon. The world turns a dark red color as it is illuminated by the red moon.
Localization
The Blood Moon manifests the same across Aeveros, but many different areas have different myths and legends based on how it affects that part of the world.
Stals
In the Kingdom of Hyrule, there's legends that tell of decomposed monsters that dig their way out of the ground as the blood moon cast's its light across the land. Stals take the shape of any dead monster that died long ago. They range from slightly decomposed to skeletons. In the Wyldness, there's a ritual that can be done to open portals to lost dimensions. It most famously can be used to resurrect the Forbidden Five from the Nether-Space.The Land of Monsters

There's a story that dominates the history of West Aeveros about Demise and the Blood Moon. During a Blood Moon, Demise can rise from his resting place under Hyrule Castle, and spread his evil across the world.
