To End Another Chapter
Eezag and Vinny have ventured deep into the Underdark on a perilous quest to confront Xelthor, the drider who terrorizes the region. Your journey began with an unexpected reunion at the entrance to the Underdark, where Eezag’s initial recklessness was tempered by Vinny’s cautious approach. Recognizing the need for a plan, you decided to seek information from a nearby goblin settlement, hoping they might know of Xelthor’s whereabouts.
Your progress, however, has been fraught with peril. A giant spider and its smaller brethren ambushed you in a glowing cavern. Eezag made short work of the larger spider with a mighty blow, but the smaller spiders proved immune to conventional weapons. Vinny’s quick thinking and alchemical fire saved the day, incinerating the remaining arachnids and clearing your path. You earned 1000 XP each for overcoming this challenge.
A seemingly impassable chasm blocked your way, but Eezag’s resourcefulness and climbing skills allowed you to rig a rope bridge, albeit a precarious one. Vinny, overcoming her fear with Eezag’s encouragement and support, successfully crossed the chasm, strengthening the bond between the two adventurers.
Now, deeper in the Underdark’s maze-like tunnels, you find yourselves facing a new threat: a black pudding, a creature of pure corrosive hunger, pulsating in the center of a damp, dimly lit chamber. Its amorphous form shifts and bubbles, tendrils of inky blackness reaching out, promising a gruesome end to anything they touch.

Vinny’s breath catches in her throat as she takes in the sight of the black pudding. The oily smell, the glistening walls, the sheer wrongness of the creature sends a shiver down her spine. Stories of these corrosive horrors flash through her mind, tales of adventurers and their equipment dissolving into nothingness, leaving behind only faint, acrid smoke. She instinctively takes a step back, her hand instinctively going to the pouch on her belt where she keeps her alchemical supplies.
“Eezag,” she whispers, her voice barely audible above the drip of water echoing through the chamber, “that’s… that’s a black pudding. We need to be careful. Very careful.” She fumbles with her pouch, her fingers trembling slightly as she pulls out a small vial filled with a viscous, silvery liquid. “Acid… it’s supposed to be one of their weaknesses,” she murmurs, more to herself than to Eezag. She takes another deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. She’s faced dangerous creatures before, but this… this is different. This is something out of a nightmare.
Pip, sensing her fear, chitters nervously and burrows deeper into her cloak.
I would Proceed to grab my Greatsword out, protecting Octavinia/Vinny from touching the Black Pudding

Eezag will be acting first, followed by Vinny and then the Black Pudding.
Sensing that Vinny is protected now, Eezag Proceeds to go into a Rage, and a Berserking one at that. After doing so, He proceeds to Attack the oozing Black sludge so he can get rid of it. When he is able to attack, he is going to Vitally Strike the Black Pudding, along with using his Marital Focus to deal more damage.

A primal roar echoes through the chamber as Eezag flies into a berserker rage, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity. He charges towards the black pudding, his greatsword held high, a whirlwind of fury and muscle. The everburning scabbard on his back casts flickering shadows on the walls, accentuating his savage grace.
With a mighty swing, he brings his greatsword down on the amorphous blob, putting all his strength into the blow. The blade connects, but instead of the satisfying crunch of bone or the wet splat of flesh, there is a strange, unsettling schlorp. The black pudding, seemingly unaffected by the blow, quivers for a moment, then… splits.
Where there was once one pulsating mass of corrosive ooze, there are now two, each smaller than the original but equally menacing. They continue to pulsate and shimmer, their tendrils reaching out like grasping claws. Eezag’s mighty blow, intended to destroy the creature, has instead doubled the threat.

Slashing and piercing weapons deal no damage to a black pudding. Instead, the creature splits into two identical puddings, each with half of the original’s current hit points (round down). A pudding with 10 hit points or less cannot be further split and dies if reduced to 0 hit points.
Vinny screams, a high-pitched sound of pure terror that echoes through the chamber. The sight of the black pudding splitting, of Eezag's powerful attack seemingly having the opposite of its intended effect, sends a wave of fear washing over her. She stumbles back, her hand flying to her mouth to stifle another cry.
"Eezag!" she shouts, her voice laced with panic. "It...it split! Your sword...it didn't work!"
With trembling hands, she fumbles with her quiver, pulling out an arrow and notching it to her bowstring. Her aim is shaky, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps, but she forces herself to focus. She’s not a warrior like Eezag, but she can’t just stand here and watch him fight these… things… alone.
She takes aim at one of the smaller puddings, her eyes narrowed in concentration, and releases the arrow. It flies through the air, a silver streak in the dim light, aimed at the pulsating mass of corrosive ooze.

Vinny’s arrow finds its mark, striking one of the smaller black puddings dead center. But instead of piercing the creature or causing any visible damage, the arrow simply… disappears. It sinks into the inky blackness, swallowed by the corrosive ooze as if it were nothing more than a drop of water in a vast ocean. The pudding pulsates for a moment, seemingly unfazed by the attack, and continues its slow, menacing advance.
The futility of her attack, the sheer wrongness of the creature, intensifies Vinny's fear. It’s like fighting a nightmare, a creature that defies the laws of physics and logic. Conventional weapons seem useless against this amorphous blob of corrosive hunger. They need another strategy, and fast, before they’re both consumed by the ever-advancing ooze.
The two black puddings surge towards Eezag, twin horrors of corrosive ooze. They move with unsettling speed, their amorphous forms shifting and flowing as they close the distance. The air crackles with a faint acidic sizzle, a warning of the destructive power they possess.
One of the puddings lunges at Eezag’s leg, its tendrils reaching out like grasping claws. The other aims for his arm, its inky blackness swirling and bubbling with corrosive energy.

Acid (Ex)
A black pudding secretes a digestive acid that dissolves organic material and metal quickly, but does not affect stone. Each time a creature suffers damage from a black pudding’s acid, its clothing and armor take the same amount of damage from the acid. A DC 21 Reflex save prevents damage to clothing and armor. A metal or wooden weapon that strikes a black pudding takes 2d6 acid damage unless the weapon’s wielder succeeds on a DC 21 Reflex save. If a black pudding remains in contact with a wooden or metal object for 1 full round, it inflicts 21 points of acid damage (no save) to the object. The save DCs are Constitution-based.

I take the damage, and I see the Ooze just deciding to grapple me so that it can try and dissolve whatever stuff I have. So I attempt to do a Reflex Save to get the slime off of my chestplate.

One of the black puddings slams into Eezag’s leg, its corrosive touch searing through his armor. A sizzling sound accompanies the impact, and a plume of acrid smoke rises from the point of contact. He winces, but his rage fuels him, pushing him through the agonizing pain. The pudding attempts to grapple him, its tendrils wrapping around his leg, seeking to pull him into its corrosive embrace.
The second pudding, however, misses its mark, its amorphous form splashing harmlessly against the cavern floor.
Eezag’s reflexive jerk manages to partially dislodge the first pudding, preventing it from fully engulfing his leg, but the burning sensation remains, a constant reminder of the creature’s corrosive power.
Eezag takes 19 points of damage from the slam and acid. His armor also takes 6 points of acid damage.
I then try to plan out how the Hell am I to beat these things? I cant Slice them, as that would duplicate them...So, I make my greatsword go from being vertically slashing, to basically making it a blunt weapon. I then SWING using the technique that I have, at ONE of the black puddings

Eezag, realizing the futility of slashing at the puddings, shifts his grip on his greatsword, attempting to use the flat of the blade to bludgeon the creature. He swings with all his might, putting the full force of his rage-enhanced strength behind the blow.
The greatsword connects with the black pudding, but the result is the same unsettling schlorp as before. The ooze, seemingly impervious to the bludgeoning force, quivers and then… splits again. Where there were two, there are now three smaller black puddings, each pulsating with corrosive energy. Eezag's attempt to change tactics has backfired, exacerbating the already dire situation. The chamber now contains three separate threats, each capable of inflicting agonizing acid burns.

Eezag would need a feat like Bludgeoner or a specific ability to change his greatsword's damage type from slashing to bludgeoning. As it stands, his greatsword still deals slashing damage, even if he attempts to use it as a blunt instrument.

Vinny’s eyes widen in horror as the black pudding splits again. Three of them now, each pulsating with corrosive menace. Her mind races, desperately searching for a solution. She knows conventional weapons are useless, and even Eezag’s mighty strength seems to have no effect on these creatures.
“Eezag!” she shouts, her voice laced with panic. “Your sword… it’s making them multiply! Maybe… maybe try punching them? Or… or something!” The suggestion feels absurd even as she says it, but she’s running out of ideas. She winces, imagining Eezag’s hands being burned by the acidic ooze. “But be careful! Don’t let them touch you!”
A new wave of fear washes over her as she considers their escape route. The chasm, the precarious rope bridge… what if the puddings reached the rope? What if they burned through it while they were trying to cross? The thought sends a shiver down her spine.
“We… we need to think of something,” she says, her voice trembling. “We’re trapped! Do you… do you have any other ideas?” She looks at Eezag, her expression a mix of fear and desperation. Pip, sensing her panic, chitters nervously and clings tightly to her cloak.
I immediately Sheathe my greatsword, making it unable to be damaged. I then looked at Vinny, as I knew of 3 Options to go about this. "I could either Punch them, we could Flee, or we could try and lure them into the water." I explain as I then take a deep breath. "however...Im...going to punch them as hard as I can." I proceed to ball up my fists, and prepare to Fist bludgeon the Black Puddings.

Eezag pummels the nearest small pudding—one of the fragments created by his previous sword slap. The blow connects with a wet thud. The force of the impact, combined with his rage, is too much for the diminished ooze to handle. It shudders violently and then bursts apart, splashing harmlessly across the cavern floor, reduced to inanimate slime.
As his fists sink into the creature to deliver the killing blow, the acidic slime coats his scales. The burning sensation is immediate and intense, threatening to eat through his natural armor and into the flesh beneath.

I Wince a bit, But I remain true to my own rage, and the fact that I will continue to use my own fists, and Rage through the pain of the Black Acid on my fists. While yes, I am Now slowly getting Engulfed, and I hope Vinny, my great ally, can deal damage, I also Make sure to endure.
