Aruinnbith Roadmap: Where am I going?
What is my Roadmap?
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to." "I don't much care where –" "Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”
Aruinnbith is in a weird place, I have old documents and files of half-finished notes, partially completed and forgotten websites, an old message board system that I can't even access anymore, and countless places I've completely forgotten. As such I've forgotten more about this world than I remember. That makes trying to get everything up on WA a bit of a challenge. I start writing one article and then I'm stuck with the purple button just adding empty article after empty article trying to get it all down before I forget again. This type of world building can't continue. A) I'm all over the place and will forget too much trying to get it down in one sitting, and B) there's no flow for a reader to have any idea what they're looking at or how to find it.
So I need a new way to organize my work and setting things up to make it interesting to read and continue naturally from one article to the next. This is where this road map and the meta analysis come in, to give me a place to start. The following sections will break down where I am, what needs major work, what I'm planning on covering in general and where I'm going in the future. Eventually I will be linking in this article and on the main page an updates page.
2022 Update: Life happened as it usually does, however, in this situation the biggest change is that I'm not working on shifting this into a homebrew world for a D&D campaign.
Where do I begin?
“Begin at the beginning," the King said, very gravely, "and go on till you come to the end: then stop.”I'm going to break Aruinnbith down in several main topics with side topics and branches here and there but these are the big ones that will be getting most of my attention for summer 2020.
