Sønskygge Forest

Sønskygge Forrest is home to the Sønskygge Elves. A thousand years ago the Sønskygge were attacked by Frost giants. The elves could not match the ferocity if the giant's attack. The elves first turned to the Dwarves for aid, the but the dwarves being allies to the giants refused to betray their ally. The Elves in desperation turned to the humans of the new formed kingdom of Sveinsdôttir. The elves doubted that such a young race could defeat the giants. To their surprise the Humans proved cunning and adaptable in combat, this matched with the Elven magic pushed back the frost giants. In thanks the elves gave King Sweyn a magic sword named N'aur Feir. This sword has been a symbol of the allegiance between the elves and the humans. The sword was used to show the kingship of Sveinsdôttir and was passed down from generation to generation until the king and the sword went into battle and were never seen again.
