Session 9: The Splendor of the Elves Pt. 2 Report

30 AUG 2019   26 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1     The party awakens, and after breakfast are escorted to see King Hri Man'duas and Queen Hulé.   The party quickly discovers that King Man'duas is a dealer in information and knows quite a bit about them specifically.   The party learns that the King paid to have them and the lost patrol ransomed. The nightmares the party has been having are a result of a forgetfulness spell. He told them that he is aware of the old enemy that lurks. He tells them the name Telki, but does not share much more.   King Man'duas tells Yendaya that he knows someone that might be able to give her information concerning her father. He introduces the party to Korba, an Ah’Beh elf, who will be joining the party.   Seren's ties to Llanelril are revealed, as she is the lady Elerrina. This is why she can speak Sylvan. Seren and King Man'duas discuss the Ah'Beh and whether they can be redeemed to Bàziel.   The party is offered employment by the King, and asked to abandon the mission for the "weak King" of Alteria. The party choose to remain loyal.   The King asks the party to retrieve a necklace that the dwarves are holding ransom. Man'duas asked that the dwarves set a stone in the necklace, but after the work was finished the dwarves kept the stone. The party accepts this mission.   Man'duas will also present the rest of the party each with one of Hulé's Talismans, so they can communicate with each other.   When the time for the party to leave drew near, they were escorted to the northern gate. They were given a small wagon for provisions, which will double as a place for Korba to stay during the day.   There was only one elven outpost 12 miles to the north, before the party entered a small cross section controlled by the dwarves. Two mountain trolls with their pet dire wolves attacked the party. The mountain trolls and two dire wolves were killed. The other two dire wolves ran away back to their camp.   The party sees a wrecked caravan.
