Session 27 - GEP: The Domain of the Dark Report

8 OCT 2021   16 SEP 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1   0600     Our session begins at 6AM game time.   Yendaya begins her fighter training by trying to get the drop on Ranmin, which fails. Seren notices that Yendaya is training with Ranmin and reveals that she too has combat training. She takes some time to train with Yendaya as well.   After training, the group bonds and gets to know each other better. Clara reveals that she has 2 brothers, and Yendaya shares some things about her brother.   Travel resumes on the road. At the 10AM hour, Rossuli catches a glimpse of his patron, Grimnir, in the forest, but otherwise nothing eventful happens.   The party takes a short rest at 11AM.   Yendaya casts the spell Scrying on Shira-Mar. As the city comes into view, she sees that the gates have finally been cleared of rubble. She is also able to see the extent of the devastation, as the walls of living trees have been pulverized. She sees different Fey folk (nyads, dryads, sprites, and fairies) helping clear debris. She notices no warriors at all guarding the gates, but only a few elvish and dwarvish civilians about the area.   Ranmin chooses to use the rest to commune with nature.   Seren follows Rossuli into the forest, and they catch up and start to clear the air about the past. After Seren leaves Grimnir reveals himself to Rossuli. He tells Rossuli that he must continue to search for his spear. When Rossuli asks for more information about the spear, Grimnir tells him to visit the LehTeh villiage from the children's story, and to seek out Einar. However, Rossuli must not reveal Grimnir to Einar. At the end of the encounter Rossuli gains another level of Warlock.   Yendaya plays her song to remove corruption points from everyone.   The party continues on the road at 12pm and then stops for the day to make camp at 4pm. The party travels 48 miles that day. They are now about 2 days away from Shira-Mar.   After making camp, Yendaya casts the Sending spell and communicates with Vaela. (A real text is sent to Craig). She then starts to learn footwork from Rossuli for fighter training. She has completed 3 days of training to take one level in Fighter.   Seren & Clara talk about the power and reliability of the gods.   Ranmin explores surrounding the camp and notices Taurgird Fortress looming not far away.   As the sun goes down, a fire is lit and Seren makes Ranmin's dwarven stories come to life in the fire. Rossuli cooks the Wayfayer's meal that he learned at the Citadel.   The watch order is established: Seren: 10pm-12am, Clara: 12am-2am, Ranmin: 2am-4am, Yendaya 4am-6am, Rossuli: last watch   During Clara's watch the party is ambushed by Duergar. They have snuck into the camp while invisible and attacked Clara, catching her by surprise. A battle ensues and the party eventually gains the upper hand. After killing the last assailant, they realize that the attack was just a diversion. All of their stuff: bedrolls, backpacks, armor, bag of holding, Dwarf Stone, etc. has all been taken. They only have what they quickly grabbed to join the battle.   As the party comes to grip with the extent of the violation, their eyes turn to Taurgird Fortress looming in the moonlight. For that is where their path now leads.
