This was the first full travel day. The party went 48 miles at Aspect of the Beast - Elk pace. There is 3 days left of travel time to Shira-Mar at this pace.
Ranmin starts off the morning with waking up Yendaya for fighter training. She finishes up here “workout” at around 7am. Clara spends time preparing her new armor, Rossuli and Seren spend the time in quiet meditation. They strike camp at 7:30am and hit the open road.
After 3 hours of uneventful travel, they reach the wayside cabin where they first met the Mor’Rahg Brothers. As the party approaches, Yendaya begins to hear a song in her head. The party investigates the cabin, and decides to take a short rest here. Meanwhile, Yendaya is lead by the music to a small stream some yards north of the cabin. Ranmin follows her to ensure that she remains safe. Following the music, she crosses the stream and finds a small grotto hidden by a thicket of vegetation.
The music, which at first started out as a few notes, is now a full song, which repeats itself a few times. Yendaya breaks out her lute and begins to play the song. Once she has the song down, a duet begins, Yendaya playing a portion and then she hears a portion. After the song a voice greats her. It is Symphonia, the goddess of poetry, music, wine, celebration and dance. She is the patron of all bards.
Symphonia tells Yendaya that the song she learned, is now her song. No one else will be able to play it like she does. She tells Yendaya that she would like to have Yendaya represent her in the clash of the gods. There is very little that Symphonia can do, she laments, but she can bring hope. She feels that Yendaya shares this belief, that the world needs hope. It needs to remember the good and pleasant things, the sun rise, the sunset, birds singing, the smell of flowers, and the like. She would like Yendaya to represent her, and to bring these things to the world. Yendaya agrees.
Then a beautiful golden wine goblet appears. Symphonia invites Yendaya to drink. As she takes the goblet, another appears and they both toast. Symphonia tells Yendaya that the goblet is enchanted, and is a gift to her. When she holds up the goblet and exclaims “Hail Symphonia” it fills with the best tasting wine.
Ranmin reveals some of his backstory to Yendaya. He was a soldier for 20 years, and feels that he owes Baziel for resurrecting him.
The party eats lunch at the cabin and takes a short rest. They get back on the road at 11:30am.
Along the way, Yendaya and Clara engage in conversation and play some games.
Towards the end of their daily journey, they encounter a squad of Oruks. They engage in battle, but it doesn’t go normally. Yendaya attempts to intimidate the Oruk Captain, after Clara fireballs them. Ranmin then succeeds in convincing the captain to surrender. They learn that the Oruks are fleeing. They were a part of the great battle at Shira-Mar, and with the Great Fell Army shattered they are fleeing for their lives. Ranmin orders them to drop all of their weapons and go. They comply.
The party sets up camp around 5pm. They setup watch for the night and turn in around 8pm. They traveled 48 miles, and have 3 days left of travel to Shira-Mar at this pace.
