Session 23 - GEP: Throw-down With A Friend Report

30 JUL 21   13 SEP 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1   2100     The party battles with Aramiel. They notice that the elf stone gives him extraordinary abilities and a resistance to magic.   Just when it seems that the party is gaining the upper hand against Aramiel the Mess Hall goes magically dark. Rossuli is able to see in this and notices that a portal appears beneath Aramiel and takes him away. Then a pack of gnolls portal in.   A voice says, “Now is that anyway to treat your poor friend Aramiel? You may get your friend back by coming to my house to parlay for the elf stone.”   The party questions who this voice is, and is informed that he is the god Skotas. When they ask him where is home is, he tells them to “look it up”.   Then the voice goes silent after declaring, “I leave you with a parting gift”.   Clara casts Light, and the gnolls are revealed. A battle ensues. Seren is ganged up on and mostly dies. Yendaya casts Hypnotic Pattern, which ensnares most of the gnolls. The rest are killed, and those under the spell are tied up and handed over to Naw-Ibo, who conveniently shows up after the battle.   The party goes off to bed.   Each receives:   1000XP for the session 4500XP for Aramiel 2000XP for the Gnolls 500XP for good roleplaying   Yendaya receives and additional 2500XP for using good spellcasting strategy.
