General Summary

15 NOV 2019   27 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1     The party finds that of all the prisoners, there are about 65 that would be considered warriors. All the others are civilians of varying types of occupations.   Yendaya was reunited with her father and twin brother.   Due to a wild magic surge, Vaela is now a blonde.   In a grate-covered pit, the party finds Thorrson, the true king's son. He was chained to a room that is accessed via a grate in one of the halls. He cried out and was heard by a party member. He had good need of healing and refreshment. The prince is no longer under the power of the gem and has learned a great deal in his captivity.   He shares: 1. The Usurpers are Duergar brothers, Drusus and Cosmin. They were advisors to the true king, Thorr. They advised that Thorr was being cheated by King Man'duas, and that the original price for the work on the necklace wasn't fair. It was also their idea to capture all the elves that they could find to put pressure upon Man'duas. Drusus was able to get ahold of Smarágdi, the Dwarven gem, to beguile the king and the other mountain dwarves of the mountain. He made them forget their true loyalty. They then had Thorr killed and imprisoned Thorrson, as he was able to resist the stone. The party must kill Drusus in order to end the spell.   2. He knows of a secret passage out of the dungeon to the upper level where the armory is.   3. He also shares a secret. The strange creatures that captured the party are known as the Telki, who were once a proud nomadic race that was enslaved by hobgoblins and made to do their bidding. The hobgoblins kept the Telki name, but the race of horse people are no more.   Thorrson recommended to arm those who can fight, and he will lead them against the rest of the enemies in the castle. This will let the party go after the gem. He tells the party where the armory was located, so some of them headed out to gather up arms and armor.   The party brought back 60 scimitars, 5 shortbows w/ quivers, 5 daggers, and 50 spears to arm the prisoners.   The party take a secret passage to the throne room. They sneak in, but Drusus senses them and calls them in.   There are two representatives of an unknown people, called Eshkatar, in the throne room. They are discussing the uniting of the Wilds. When the party enters Drusus demands to know who they are. He is very arrogant and told them what ever they wished to know. After he has provided all the answers, he enlarged and told his guards to attack.   Cosmin is in possession of Diamánti, the elf (clear) gem and has left with a party of Eshkatarans and Stone Guards.   Drusus is a Duergar Warlord. He has a honor guard of (6) Duergar Stone Guards. The dwarf (green) gem - Smarágdi - is worn as a pendant on his neck.   (2) Eshkataran escorts did not engage the party.   The party engaged the stone guards and Drusus, and were overcome. Then they battled the Eshkatarans over the gem about Drusus' neck, for they would not let them take the gem.   The fortress was secured and the party took the Dwarven gem. Thorrson wanted the party to immediately overtake Cosmin, but the party decided to take a long rest.
