Session 12: To Catch a Key Report

25 OCT 2019   27 AUG 3024 Ǎ12 36288 Ê1     The party continues their quest to find the key to release the Elven prisoners of the Dwarven King Drusus, who along with his brother, Cosmin, has usurped the Dwarvish throne.   The party unties the ropes holding the doors together and then enters the captain's room. The captain is holding a briefing with other officers. The captain and other soldiers are not dwarves. The party thinks they are Telki. Yendaya is able to hypnotize most of them. The room is cleared and the captain is taken hostage. The party gets the key and has him escort them to the prison area. Yendaya has to intimidate him in order for him to comply. They are told that there would be 3 captains and 3 soldiers guarding the area.   Ranmin opens the door and walks in. He tries to persuade them that he belongs there, but they don't believe him. A battle ensues and Ranmin was killed by the guards, but was resurrected by Baziel. She has turned all of his weapons into +3 magic weapons, given him 15 temporary hit points (which will remain until lost), and he is glowing for 10 turns.   Clara cast Prayer of Healing, and as she did so the entire party was healed, given a long rest, and leveled up to 6th level. She also is glowing for 10 turns.   Baziel has given the following information: Ranmin is her Herald. Clara is her Champion. Cosmin, the king's brother, has left the mountain with Diamánti, the elf gem stone.   The party has locked themselves in the prisoner area. All guards have been killed here. They have freed all of the Elven prisoners. There are a total of 180 prisoners, of which are 65 warriors from various polis'. The rest are merchants, craftsmen, messengers, and the like. There are no children, and a few women.   Yendaya has found her father and brother here.   The party must now retrieve Smarágdi, the Dwarven stone, from the usurper.
