Crimson Order
After the conclusion of the Great Baron's war, former members of the Cadre banded together to form a secret society. Named after the elite members of the Cadre, the Crimson Order based their sanctuary deep in the Wilds; far from the politics of the new factions that replaced the old kingdom, and away from prying eyes. Their mission was to protect the legacy of the High King. They scoured the country-side collecting arms, armor, banners, emblems, and anything else that bore his crest. They would be keepers of these relics, as well as the journals and chronicles of kings, awaiting the day when a new High King would again be crowned.
They took to the shadows and created a network that would monitor the other former houses. Keeping tabs on politics, relics, blood lines, and factions; they even guarded ancient sites, and enforced the King's peace anonymously. They bound themselves to the code of fealty of the office of High King.
They are known throughout the Wilds, and among the dwarvish and elvish kingdoms as noble keepers of the peace. Accepting no reward for enforcing the King's justice, and investigating crimes and wrongs that other officials can't.
They wear cloaks to help keep a low profile, and in times of need brandish phoenix sabers and the ceremonial daggers of the Crimson Order.
