Alpha Centauri System
Geography
Alpha Centauri consists of three stars; Alpha Centauri A, Alpha Centauri B, and Proxima Centauri. There are two planets in orbit around Proxima Centauri, Known as Proxima Centauri B & C. There is another planet in orbit around Alpha Centauri A known as Alpha Centauri Bb.
History
Operation Proxima was launched in 2069 by the EUSPA to visit Proxima Centauri and become the first spacecraft to enter another star system. It will reach Proxima Centauri by 2739. A faster ship was launched in 2098 to reach the system by 2736. In 2209, The 2nd Terran Republic launched a vessel to reach Proxima Centauri by 2814, However, this was not seen as an improvement and its launch was delayed by 15 years until 2224 when it was launched with the ability to reach Proxima Centauri by 2729, 7 years faster than the current fasted ship. In 2289, Yet another ship was launched to reach Proxima Centauri first. This ship is expected to reach Proxima Centauri by 2661.
