The Swarm DAO now headed by President & Board
"Divide et impera"
The Swarm, by the idea and will of its original founders, shall remain a 100% member-owned, decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) for the benefit of all global humanity, where voting and finances are handled through a decentralized ledger technology (blockchain).
However, as the the precise legal status has remaind unclear and day-to-day business decisions became increaslingly lagging, with the true intensions of its voters becoming increaslingly blurring and fearing that some accumulation of power has happened that undermines the core principles of our fundamental vision, time has come, where the organization needs a public accountable face, who chairs a real-world, human-only, non-AI-tampered board that models world-class corporate governance, where fundamental values are as important as rules.
Therefore, and as The Swarm has recently agreed, The Swarm, as of today, is finally chaired by Kino Kazayama-Meier as president on an interim basis.
The President is guided by the newly assigned Executive Board, or "the Board" in short, which consists of 7 swarm-vote-elected, permanent members representing The Swarm's 7 core subjects: Finance, Security, Economy, Collaboration & Communication, Energy, Society, and Rules.
Among those 7, every year a different member is elected as the Swarm's CEO, currently Peter Tosh, to comply with real-world legal entities and global accounting standards.
Both, President and Board are reporting to the "Core", Swarm-adhoc-elected, exceptional individuals with subject leader status from all walks of life, constituting the sovereign with unlimited veto-rights to enforce The Swarm's mission and values and to oversee the President's, Board's and the Swarm's internal work in promoting true global, human-first citizenship.
Responsibilities
The President's primary goal is to ensure the Board's legitimacy, accountability, transparency and its concerted action to execute according to the core principles of The Swarm and the final will of its voters. The President is the "Core's" key addressee when it comes to The Swarm's inner organisational structure and towards its formal external representation in terms of vision, goals and long-term activities.
The Board, chaired by its CEO, acts as the executive body of The Swarm. It ensures that activities fulfill The Swarm's internal and external mission and acts as its representative to outside parties like national entities, interest groups and service providers. It has a collective executive responsibility for The Swarm and reports to the "Core" on a monthly basis.
