"When you get the calling, regardless of what you are or what you have been, it will be transformative, and it will create something that has never been there before: something genuine, something new, something that will spread and will change everything!"
She has always felt that she must be special. Not just different from the "norm" but universally unique in some special corner of her being. Of course her unknown birth that has left her origin totally in the dark of history and her first years as an orphan in the swamps of the Danube Delta, where she felt more related to the sea life of a seal than a human, were definitively beyond the norm.
However, her inner sensory compass has never related to that, but something above, something on a higher conscious level that can never be expressed in words. Something hidden in the cloud, but real, waiting for the advent of some external input that will defog the view and reveal what it is meant to be. As blurring this "thing" has ever sat in the back of her otherwise clear mind, about one thing she has always been 100% sure just by the brute force of its enormous energetic, near-physical presence: this "thing" is far too much for her alone but demands her to become some kind of universal mother, who, someday, will give birth to a call that will address or even save all her species.
She knew right from the beginning that the uneducated will call her strange or "esoteric", and psychologists might diagnose a temporary mental confusion or even illness. So she kept it for herself. Just checking the Net and "The Swarm" for meaning, potential companions, or somebody knowing she could share her secret.
And when with her virgin breasts the Graffiti has manifested just above her first puppic hair, hand-size big in clear hennah-brown geometical lines, she definitively knew, that her inner calling is not only real but that this was the start of some kind of transformation into whatever she needed to become the messenger for whatever change she was supposed to bring to humanity.
This was why with the advent of the graffiti on her skin, she did not panic but has drawn a bright, calm strength from a deep, universal feeling that everything is right and good. It was not a feeling of having to endure this. No "Why me?". Just knowing that it had to be this way, the same normal, as the sun has to rise and sink in an eternal circle.
